India's Appointment to the ICJ

Supreme court Judge Dalveer Bhandari has been the India's nominated Candidate for the election to the International Court of Justice(ICJ)which is going to held in April this year.The Last Indian Which was Represented to the ICJ was then chief Justice of India Raghunadan Swarup Pathak during the year 1989-91.The Govt doesn't recommend candidates to the ICJ. 


UN ex-Chief Annan is Global Envoy for talks With Syrian President Assad

The United nation was named his former chief Kofi Annan as the Special Envoy for the Syria on Feb 23,2012 with a aim tp tressurise the Assad regime to halt the rising violence.The Appointment can be made only after the international Investigators submitted a list of Syrian military and political officials suspended of Possible Crimes against the humanity while the death tool was continued to rise in the country.
